Weird rear window problem

Ive been having this problem for a while but ive not gotten around to fixin it. It seems pretty strange to me and I havent been able to find any similar problem to mine on other threads.

I can roll my rear window up and down with the inside switch as long as the window is not rolled all the way up. If the window gets rolled all the way up then the inside switch no longer works but I can still roll the window down with the key.

Is it a relay? Ground problem? I need some help because i have no idea where to start.

Sounds like the wiper sensor. If the window is already a little down, it overrides the wiper sensor. If the window is all the way up, it activates the wiper sensor and will not allow the window to roll up and down. Pull the inner panel of the back of the top, and check that wiper sensor. Make sure the wiper arm goes all the way up when you turn it off.

If it is the wiper sensor, just bypass it. I had that problem and I just made the pin switch permanently depressed rather than try to get the wiper to seat properly every time. If your wiper arm is bent, you may need to watch out so that it doesn't get stuck between the window and the frame if you put the window up and down while driving.

I rigged the pin to stay pushed in all the time, but I am sure somebody with electrical knowledge could tell you how to do it correctly. I think 4crawler has a schematic on his site.

4crawler.com, just search under rear window and go through all of the trouble shooting points. Keep his site bookmarked. Very valuable info.
