weber Trans-Dapt adapter from Summit

I used this adapter plate with my weber. But its alot taller than the weber adapter plate so the linkage is not tall enough now. Does anyone have any experience with setting the linage up using the Trans-Dapt adapter from Summit?

Really dude? My answer on your last spacer thread wasn't clear?

You need to space the throttle linkage up with spacers and longer bolts. Do you have the original cast 2 piece adapter? If so, there should've been some spacers for the throttle linkage included. Take the total height of the 2 piece adapter and subtract the height of the small spacers from that. The number you get is about how much shorter your spacers for the throttle linkage now need to be for the taller Trans-Dapt spacer.

Sorry if I came across like a jerk, something's always lost in translation so to speak over the internet. I read that again and would probably think I'm a jerk if I were you. Generally, if you want more clarification, it's easier to post again in the original thread rather than starting another, though.

I don't think I have any pictures of my old weber that would show the spacers under the throttle linkage, but it really is just as simple as spacing it up. I used the LCE spiral bore adapter, and from what I've seen so far the Trans-dapt adapter is taller. The linkage spacers for the LCE adapter had to have been at least 9/16" so you may need something in the 3/4" area. Just a guess though, really.

Spacers for throttle linkeage

Two spacers high. The ones that come in kit about 1" high. I bought a piece of straight aluminum pipe and cut for second one. I beleive 8mm inner diameter.

This is on late model 20r intake (1980)

This in on a 20r intake early model (late 70's)
