Likely yellow due to degraded factory wiring and possibly age on the old sealed beams. Easy to upgrade to a set of H4 halogen lamps and possibly upgrade the wiring, too:

+1 for Hella H4 and a set of relays. Quality parts, work really well, and are 100% street legal in Canada, and some states. You're not likely to get a ticket for H4 lights, but are likely to get a ticket for other stuff like HIDs and whatnot.

If you end up getting the Hella H4 conversion lights which I highly recommend, go with the euro ones. They aren't DOT approved but they put out a much better light pattern then the regular DOT approved Hella's.

Hella 72200 is the euro-spec (or e-code) headlight. Not legal in all states, but not likely to get a ticket for it either.

I did the Hella upgrade and I love the light output. You can experiment with various bulbs. The suggestion to upgrade your wiring harness is also one of your better fixes, especially given your vehicle's age.
