my tranny shift stick has a hell of alot of play. doesnt stay in the correct position and will rotate around when i try to shift. any ideas on how i can fix this problem?

I believe you pop it in neutral, press down, and rotate the stick a quarter turn. Don't know if its left or right, but its just a big washer thig holding it down and you have to rotate it for it to lift out.

Just don't let stuff fall into the tranny when you get it out.

you can buy those bushings right from the Toyota dealer in Salem as well but they cost about $20.
