I'm looking at a '84 4x4 pickup w/ a 22r motor, I used to have a 4 runner w/ a 22re and that one was great, what i need to know is what kind of mileage (mpg and miles between overhauls) should I expect out of it, what problems do these things have? Is $3200 a good price for one? Thanks guys this site has been awesome to me in the past.

 

hey bro, i got my 85 for 2400 and the motor is great. you wont see the power and mileage that you got out of your efi but so far i seem to get great mileage. around 20 city and 25 highway 65-75mph. one time i got 30 on highway using premium....thought the gauge was broken make sure the carb is tuned right and compression is good. i got 190 in all four with a new head.
