im having trouble picturing how to put a drop spring hanger on my 84 to put my ruf on. does anyone have pictures of an upgraded drop hanger?

 

Just look at any solid axle swap. basically the same thing.

The rears up front (RUF) FAQ on pirate has a good pic. I would recommend putting the springs on, tack the hanger where you think it looks good.
place the weight of the truck on the front end.
check shackle angle. If it looks like crap, easier to grind a few tacks than a bunch of welds.
get it where you are happy with it than weld the crap front and rear on your hanger
