rusty birf i need your help!

so i just got home from college not to long ago and i thought id install my longside bobby long birfield and inner right? well it turns out my girl put all my stuff in the garage.
anyway there is alot of rust on it now and im wonder if i should install it or not.
also does anyone know i way to take the rust off? i feel like if i get it off itll be fine

WWWOOOOOOWWWW that sucks dude, us there any deep pitting? like enough to disform it? if not ide hit it up with a emory cloth or somthin by hand to take the rust off and smoth it and it should be good...

nah its all surface rust. some of the chrome came off but im going to try the naval jelly route before i decide. thanks guys

thats what happens when you get drunk and find stencils you made in high school


luckily as of today its two shades of brown with a black roof

Run it. Surface rust won't hurt it and all the gear oil will clean it up.

Once it's soaked in oil it can't rust anymore or at all..

I like the stencil job, you dont see it often but I would do it if I didnt have a decent clear coat.

thanks! its actually brown and that tan now with a black stripe in the middle but the stencils are showing through. its pretty good looking ill get some pics up once i finish this week

you shoulda rubbed some kind of lube on it first, it won't rust then

i always spray my bare metal down, or rub something on it so it won't rust
