RUF for 1-2" only?

i got a set of lift shackles this weekend from pullapart off an 88 runner and put them on the rear of my truck. they only netted about 1.5" of lift which works for me. no money for gearing or larger tires right now. for the front i was wondering if i could use some of an extra set of rear leaf springs as basically an AAL type setup? i could stand to go a little more in the front because of my heavy heavy bumper.

That is about all the lift you will see from the stock rears up front:

However, if you still have stock steering and u-bolts, you'll have trouble adding leaves due to the clearance with the steering and spring plate.

I got aboout 1.5" lift out of my RUF (stock 83 rear leaf + aal) pack and an extra 1" from my boomerang shackle so I ended up with 2.5" of lift could prolly be lower if I used a stock rear leaf pack
2.5" lift on 37s
