SFA vehicles need an IFS steering box to convert to high steer crossover steering. You should already have a power steering pump I would think, you just need the IFS box and your high steer. Shoot me a PM/email. I can hook you up if you can provide a few more details.

riki,
you need a steering box from an 86-95.5 4wd v6 or 4cyl, they are pretty much identical. the later boxes are a little smaller but not as durable, the advantage to a later model box it you dont have to remove the pin from the steering shaft. with that said you can go to a slavage yard and get the power steering pump, resivoir, brackets, and hoses from any toyota truck that has the same engine as yours. the lines are pretty much interchangable.id much rather have power steering than manual. but if you cant get the pump and stuff you will be ok using the box without the pump, just cap off the holes for the lines.

I once drove my truck without the power steering pump hooked up and it was very difficult to steer. It was a lot more difficult than a truck that has non-power steering. It would be best to hook up the power steering or at least get a non-power steering box.

Newbie here.I just picked up a 85 pickup 4wd and a 84 4runner 4wd.I`m planning on taking the power steering assembly and putting it on the truck which has manual steering. How easy is this and what`s involved?Also,1 reason I`m doing the swap is the steering is hanging up when you turn to the right.i didn`t see anything binding so I`m assuming that it`s probably in the steering box.Any thoughts?thanks
