possible open circuit?!

Parked the runner to replace the mainshaft seal on the oil pump. Got her all put back together, went to turn it over and nothing. Idiot lights in dash light up, when I hit start it all goes dead! This is probably something simple, but electrical is not my specialty! any and all help is greatly appreciated!

oh, it did start and run before the fix.

my guess is either loose battery connection or dead battery.

Good call. Battery has been on the charger for 10 hours, no go yet. Swapped with battery in other yota, turned over but still no dice! Guess its on to troubleshooting a problem somewhere else!

Corrosion on the battery terminals...

Check fuses first.

I had a similar issue the other day. Take a look at the 100amp fuse under the hood on the passenger side and the 15amp fuel pump fuse under the dash on the drivers side.

ahh no dice. It is getting fuel, can smell it when I'm turning it over, which leads me to believe the problem is in the ignition circuit. Anyone have any experience on what part of the ignition system commonly goes bad? thanks alot
