Pictures of 85 4runner, possibly for sale!

Here are some pictures of my 85 4runner. It has the following modifications:
5.29s
Rear Aussie Locker
Front Detroit Tru-Trac LSD
33X10.50's Super Swamper TSL Radials
3 inch Suspension Lift

Just wondering what this thing might sell for because I just don't have the time to play with it anymore. I bought it from the original owner about 2.5 years ago and was completely stock. The gears and Tru-Trac have about 200 miles on it along with brand new brakes all the way around and a rebuilt front axle. Pretty good condition considering it is over 22 years old. NO RUST, car has been in GA all its life.

I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $2500?

Id say about 3500, but it needs a lotta work to be offroad ready:

Longs, hysteer, etc.

Another thing is what is the cancer like on it? What are the normal rust spots like?? Is it an SR5? Manual Tranny?

Here in AZ I got my stock 1985 Runner for $4300. That is Rust Free though!!

Just food for thought!

really? looks pretty ready to me maybe my standards are low, but i think the "offroad ready" scale is inflated around here. i'm just trying to think of how many trails and routes of mine that truck couldnt handle easily... none?

back on topic, i paid $3200 for a rust free and well maintained stocker, with new reman and LCE header. it'll cost me around $2500 more for quality lift locker and gears. Poopy, your truck is straighter than mine, I think you could get around $4-5000 around here.

I was hoping in the neighborhood of 5K because that is what I need to put a down payment on a house. That may seem high to some people on here, but how many nearly perfect 85 4runners are left out there? This is pretty much the best condition 1st gen I have ever seen. I looked for one of these for years before I found this one and all the others were junk.

if you were from my neck of the woods you'd get 5k no problem as long as there was no rust.

I had found a similar 4 Runner when I bought mine. It had the original factory paint job, clean interior and not a single rust bubble! Here she was when I got her home:

So, comparitively - I paid $4300, the guy was asking $4800. It had 3K on a rebuilt engine.

Just food for thought!

I paid $3300 for my 84 stocker with 130k miles in October of last year. A good deal IMHO. No body rust, cracked dashboard, just about every electical component works. I only needed new tires.

paid 2k for a truck that was lifted 3.5", new shocks, extended brake lines, running 32's with 90% tread, some dents/scratches. 2 rust spots(not cancer), smitty rear bumper, custom front, lights/cb wired in along with extra switches, tool box, cd player/speakers. threw in an extra hood in great shape, transfer case, and drop link. had 264k with 30k on rebuilt engine.

and also $3300 for an 85 SR5/sunroof factory paint/gfx, just needs cleaning.

22r or 22re, 5speed, SR5, miles? What pattern did you use to bolt the top back on?
The lift and the LSD aren't worth anything so you almost have to look at it as stock.

I paid $1800 for my 85 and I feel that was way too much. It is an SR5 with every option, 22re, 5 speed, 139000 miles, frame was rust free and the fenders had very minor rust (nothing to worry about), aluminum wheels and 31" all terrains.

Well the truck stock I would say is worth $2000. Throw in your $800 meats, $1000's in lockers, $500 in gears, and $200 axle rebuild and your right around $3000.

I paid $3000 for a 95 ext cab with 170,000 and a bad rear end. Yeah I got ripped off and am taking it in the butt making it a worthy offroader.
