[QUOTE=fasterspider;52359396]More pics of my 85 having fun.

My rig has gone through a lot of changes over the 7 plus years I've owned her.

I have real bumpers now with a Marlin Crawler Roadrunner bumper out back and an All Pro Off-road front bumper and a winch even though it is not displayed in the image. Driveway pics don't count so this is all I have for now.

I grew up around first gen trucks and 4runners and for years had an 81 pickup that was yellow with some very wide 31in directional tires off a ditch witch. I took a huge break and maybe 6-7years ago scored a first gen 84 4runner in CA. drove that sucker back and learned the previous owner installed a 2wd 22r engine in it that caused a huge nightmare when I was rebuilding it as nothing was right but in the end totoally rebuilt engine with dual row timing chain, front and rear axels rebuilt, new 22ret clutch and more random new parts than I care to admit...

22r long tube lceperformance header, 22r weber 32/36 performance kit, 3inch-ish? lift kit, and some 33in toyo mts, still have stock gearing but can do 45mph easy and 55 if I plan it and ride the rpms on short hills lol. Most recently after mostly sitting for 2 years took the top off and got the lceperformance solid soft top for about $256 shipped. Really fun little trail rig and handles well. I still need to get the high steer kit to make it 100% as its not ideal with the diy drag link now but its mostly trail/camping and really does well for what I consider a street legal side by side haha.

New here. Just picked up an ‘85. 37’s, 5.29’s, Detroit’s, Weber. Those are the more mentionable things. All kinds of other little stuff done to it too. Some little quirks I’d like to get figured out in the short term. Dome light, dash lights, get the tach working, refinish rear fenders, little stuff like that. Anyways, I’m going to be asking a lot of questions to find things and get them figured out.

And here’s what everyone wants to see.

Thank you. I don't feel like it is a loss, instead more of a win. He got out of a wheelchair, and went to a better place. Maybe even, watching, smiling, at us, not sure.

The rig is fun.

I have been a member here since shortly after getting my 85 Xtra-Cab and my rig has come a long way from the bone stock pickup she was when I bought her. That's Chicken Rock in Lucerne Valley's Cougar Buttes, was the last time I went wheeling before back surgery in October that is so far the most excruciatingly painful thing I have ever dealt with.
Anyway, viva Toyota
