I found working cruise on a 22re to be more of a novelty than anything lol. Mine wasn't worth a damn even with 235/75's

Yeah, mine works, but the slightest bit of a grade and you're losing speed. I only use it once every couple months to see if it still works lol

My 84 Just Finished 4.3L Swap changed to 38.5 11.00 Boggers

I beat on this truck Hard. Always gets me home. Original Paint, 529's, Detroit, Lincoln, IFS Box Crossover. The 4.3 Swap woke this truck up......far exceded my expectations.

I know longer own this truck but it was the first Toyota that I've ever completely redone. This truck was a complete rebuild from scratch. Believe it or not that's a 86 2wd cab but the rest of the truck is a 84. I was even able to get it retitled as a 84. I only have 2 pictures of this truck and this is the best one. I took this photo from a real photo so that explains the horrible quality.

I sold the truck for $2,500.00 due to financial issues I was having at the time. It went through 4 people after that until the guy at has it now bought it. He owner now only gave $800.00 and a old ATV for it. He still drives it every single day to and from work. About 3 weeks ago he replaced the engine with a completely new rebuild. Next time I'm over there I will grab a few pics of it.

Great Find.....I love the stripes on those trucks. Tons of potential with that rig.

yeah that would be nice. However you can chop the back section and piece in the new frame as we'll. or SAS a IFS frame... You do got options... Post some pics of the rot

Check out my build thread, I stubbed the back of my frame with the rear section of my 87 parts truck. Good looking truck btw.

I honestly don't care if it's ifs or not, I don't do any rock crawling, just wanted a little hunting/toy, I will have to get some pics of the frame, I dropped it off at my buddy's house, I can literally stick my hand through the frame haha. I'm just west of Columbia, MO

We can try to work something out if you want. The frame is good it's just got surface rust but it would need a bit of work before it can be swapped over.

I like it! Cool color. What're you doing for a bed in the near future? What are you using for tail lights right now?

FailRated that's exactly what I'm looking for! I want something similar with a flatbed. I had to sell mine because everything but the cab was gone.

Thanks fellas. I got extremely lucky and found a rust free truck in Maryland. It didn't run when I bought it but the problem was just a couple broken wires so I really got the deal of a lifetime on it. It runs like a raped date after we put 5.29's in it last night.

I'm building my own flat bed for it and I don't even drive my '03 locked and geared Tacoma anymore because the '85 runs so good.
