this is a great thread. I just bought and an 85 sr5, just got done doing a new head and head gasket, but this tread makes me realize I am just getting started. Nice trucks everyone

Removed the Cage. I think it looks much better.

I am going to use the metal to make a new front bumper and rock sliders

1985 Hiux Diesel RV Conversion

This is the 1985 Hilux diesel converted to an RV by my son and the guy he bought it from. He gutted it and rebuilt everything that moved. He stripped and painted it with marine grade epoxy paint. He used it in his climbing adventures and had planned to take it to South America for his geology work. He called it his "Truckasaurus." I now have it in his estate after his untimely death earlier this year. It is a beautiful rig for off road. I may have to sell it though through the estate.

That conversion is amazing! Sorry to hear about your son but he did amazing work and I hope you are able to hang onto it!
