My 85 4Runner
Here's my truck. I have some more recent pics I want to post soon. I fixed that front bumper end.
Heading out to Death Valley for some 4wheelin' today...so I'll have pics from that.

It was fun, I never got around to the track or dyno but it sure pulled great. I swapped in a twin-entry turbo along with:
Saab front-mount intercooler
remote oil filter
oil cooler
Fidanza flywheel
stainless IC piping
3" full exhaust
manual boost control
TRD short-throw shifter
.040" overbore
forged JE pistons
twin 12" Spal slim fans
and too much more.
I am kind of looking for another one but the 5th gen (90-93) style.

From what I've gathered, the granvile edition was a special edition for the granville motorhomes(toyota) out of elkhart ind. They also do custom vans. A hanfull of 4runners were bought to be decked out and be used as a tow behind vehicle for the motorhomes. They shared the same paint schemes. Mine came with the works. Cruise control, integrated cb and pioneer tape deck, crush velvet interior, deluxe rear seat, and yes custom wheels. Very rare from what I hear. I prob should have left it stock, but hey where's the fun in that. Owell I still have all the orig parts and no body damage(yet). I'll get some vids of my horns up tomorow. They're pretty loud so I'll have to find somewhere I can give them a good blast. They're. 160db @ 150 psi

Thanks, Granville... crush velvet interior, CB/tape deck eh? Slick...
Maybe save the wheels too; get some cheap steelies to beat on?
GRoot85 that is a slick rig; is that the factory paint-color? It's a really nice shade of red.
I'm personally not a fan of snorkels but whatever works for ya. Here's what I ask when I see one: "Where are you gonna cross water that deep?"
Ideally the exhaust should be extended just like the intake; look at Marine HMMWVs.

wakkjobb-Yes it's the original paint. The snorkel was there when I purchased it, Not something I would choose to spend money. I get mixed opinions some people love it some don't. I just enjoy the truck.

Ah, gotcha. A friend has a built-up Dodge and he runs some fans through the hood to help with engine bay temps; seems to work fine. I put a 180* t-stat in my pile and the temp gauge (stock) barely gets over 1/4 even during summer... but I may still add fans for the "cool" factor.
