I am thinknig bout painting my hardtop a differnt color to go with my maroon color. Possibly Tan. I am curious to see what others have painted their hardtops differnt than the standard black.

 

I know that some of the red ones came with white and my wife had an 86 factory red with matching red top so they didn't all come with black. I must admit though that those are the only colors that I've seen.

I'll be curious to see some other variations as well.

 

Mine 89 is grey with a grey top. I have seen white runners with black tops, Red one with whiten and black tops, Also seen all brown runners and blue with black tops.

 

a tan top on a red runner might look pretty good

 

Mine's light blue with matching top.

 

Red on red.

 

Green on green

 

I have always liked maroon and tan but I fear it could look like a "his name we do not speak" when your done. They have a monopoly on the maroon/blue/green and tan.

 

Well i played with photoshop. I did a sort of nutmeg


And body color


Nothing else pops up that looks anything near usable. White looked interesting on this color but i do not want to deal with cleaning it all the time.

 

you would be surprised how well white holds up. I have had a white and black car, and the white one hid the dirt much better. I say screew the jeep guys and go with a medium tan, way too much orange in the nutmeg.

 

Rhino liner black with a uv top coat would look cool too. I love the textured look and it stands up well.

I cannot imagine anything uglier than that nutmeg. I think I would go white or black.

 

yeah it is a bit ugly. i couldnt reproduce the color i was thinknig that good. it is more tan that i am thinknig.

 

hands down the same color as the truck, if not, find a black top.

 

I think tan would look good. Anyone can use your photoshop skill.
