Out of coolant with no leaks!

Hey guys i got an 84, I did a total radiator flush and went ahead and replaced the thermostat. I parked the truck on a curb and burped my cooling system as well to make sure there wasnt any air in the system. However when burping the system my thermostat failed open. Afew days later it closed. but for some reason every fourth day i have to refill my radiator and burp the system. The truck will run hot, and the upper radiator hose feels like a rock. I pop the top and she's almost empty on coolant!! resevoir is full and i have NO LEAKS ANYWHERE, i park on concrete at my job and have had friends keep and eye on it. NO LEAKS, but all my darn coolant is gone by day 4. And yes im using coolant, water, and water wetter super cooler. Can anyone help?

Maybe burning coolant. How does the oil look? Get a block tester to check for exhaust in the radiator.

I suspect if you sent an oil sample off to Blackstone labs or did this

Block Chek kit

one or both would be positive i.e coolant in the oil or exhaust gases in the coolant.

The running hot and the rock hard upper hose sure sounds like exhaust gases are pressurizing and heating the system.

Would either of those probles occur over the course of a few days? As i said it takes 4 days or longer for the fluid to drain out. This last time it has gone about 10 days.

Since you cannot see anything externally, your head gasket may be failing and, thus, your engine is slowly burning the coolant. Do a pressure test on the cooling system and a leak down test on the cylinders. There are numerous threads here on HG failure diagnosis.

Any billowing white exhaust out the exhaust? What does the underneath side of the oil fill cap look like?

Thank you very much for all the information. The underside of the cat is clean as a whistle in the exhaust is blue do to it running rich.

Possibly is it leaking out the weep hole on the water pump? The drips may be hitting the hot engine block and evaporating and you never noticed the leak.
