Newbie Front Shackle Question

Sorry for the noob question but I searched and couldn't find something that specifically addresses my question.

As you can see from the pic below, my front shackle is resting on the frame. My question is whether or not a longer shackle would solve the problem. The current shackle is 3.5" eye to eye and im thinking of going 5.5". Would that keep the shackle from resting on the frame?

I am thinking of getting the bud built banana shackles or boomerang shackles so i can avoid cutting the body mount. Kills 2 birds with one stone.

http://www.budbuilt.com/new/shackles.html

Thanks for the help.

The problem is 25 year old worn out suspension components.
A set of shackles won't fix it.

Only difference the bent shackles make is on the front, they avoid hitting the front body mount brackets when they swing back. Other than that, they are the same as a straight shackle of the same center-center length.
