Kinda hard when it's 800 miles away. I'll have it this spring & ready for SE4RJ4...Then I can trash the steering & go hi-steer & follow Wabbit's lead...

If you follow the Wabbit, does that mean that you have to keep your rig on the trailer?

Devil Dog, if you dont get all of the high steer at once, at least beef up the tie rod/ drag link. Youll be happy you did. Those 39s will break the shizzznit of of that j-arm and KILL you driving down the road. Dont make the :fireman: run a call on a :fireman:

Nono, that means that he will build it 363 days of the year and wheel it 2.

Well, I remember those TachedOutOffroad shirts from River Rock, and I figured the REd 4Runner had to be yours....and then your sig really gave it away, cause I think the only person who loved the skinny pedal more than you at SouthEast Fall Crawl was Kyle (clutchdumper on here)

It won't be done by then, but I hope to have a few surprises finished.

Talking Howdy

How did you convert to 350?? I am looking at putting a 350ci GMC engine into my 95 4Runner and cannot make up my mind between keeping the 5 spd (I love to shift and the manual control) or going with an ole rebuilt 700R 4.... if I was going to use it alot on road I would probably use the auto to save all that shifting... I did a 4.3 into my 84/88 Toy PU and stayed with 5 speed... good control off road, but seldom need 1st on pavement and there is alot of shifting cause it is easy to get up to speed with 4.3.... what were your considerations...??? thanx, LRB

Stock 1985 front axle, upgraded with Longfield 30 spline superset. (axle shafts, hub gears, 3430 chromoly birfs). There is an install thread I did here, just search threads started by me.

if the price is right. I can't afford to take a huge loss here. I'd be better off just parking it for a year or two if I have to. I hate to see her go. I'd kick myself like I did when I sold my old 1989 a few years ago. But priorities are priorities. The wife & baby come first.

Good hearing from you bro'.
