OK, I talked to Jess, he said it is an un-necessary part. I have to go by that, he's the expert not me. I don't see how a seal to keep the gear oil in will be made.

OK, I felt up to installing the driveshaft...(Wabbit )
Thanks for the proper motivation...
First off I need to say how impressed I was in dealing with Jess at High Angle Driveline.
http://www.highangledriveline.com/
He made sure my order was done right & even re-tubed the shaft. I was silly to question whether a companion flange was needed. He called it a "flinger". Take it off & fling it over your shoulder, no need for it.
Anyway here's the pics.

I like the black on black also, not bad for people that don't like the fire engine red with chrome wheels.
Also, I think you've trimmed enough? IMO, a person should cut out just enough to stop any rubbing. My tires aren't as large as yours (I think, mine are 36"s) but I only had to trim a hair over 2".
And yes, taped it off and cut with high speed die. Hammerd the lip up, but that wrinked it a bit. Oh well, it's gonna get smashed at some point in time anyway.

yeah I did get a little carried away with the grinder on the front, but I am going to trim the rears just a bit more. I am not real concerned with the body on this one although I do want a cage or exo before I flop it cause I know I will.
I saw the vids of your 85 before in the mud, that's a pretty badass truck.

I saw a pic in some other thread of your truck repainted, but I don't remember seeing or hearing about it before? More pics? (yes, this is what I do, go to different build ups and whine about needing pics)
