its already been said, but i strongly agree with these points: don't waste your energy on envy - focus it on improving yourself and taking pride in what you've made for (and of) yourself. also, trucks come and go (see sig), but you only get one chance at becoming the best man (or person) you can be. consider yourself fortunate to have hardships that you work through on your own. those lessons will pay off a hundred times in later years. people who dont face adversity throughout their lives dont know what to do when they see it for the first time.

i saw that truck on ebay. my 4runner is nowhere near as jacked as that thing, but when a birfield joint breaks on the trail, i know exactly what i need to do to get it back home.

you learn personal accountability and resposibility also wisdom and strength through adversity and hardships. people who are pamperd and have padded lives will never better themselves and will never appreciate the benefit of true hard work. "If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." Anne Dudley Bradstreet.

My parents helped me pay for my car, but I paid for most of it. I have also paid for every mod on my 4Runner and pay gas. I worked all summer 45-50 hours a week and work a couple nights during school.

It is alot more to have a car that you paid for than to have something given to you, you dont treat it the same.

to be honest the real victim is him. i hope hes not new to wheeling, otherwise hes in for a lot of expensive and time consuming lessons. if he plans to use it offroad and keep it as shiny as it is, he's on glue. the sliders look like theyve seen some fun. maybe in a parking garage good paint job and shiny rims + real offroad = lol

is that a hint of mud i see on it?

of course i can't make a valid induction here and hes not here to defend himself either, but he has a tahoe with 24 inch rims. thats borderline retarded. Look at me guys, i got shiny things am i cool yet?!? bling bling!

minor setback bought the 85 and loved it ran it a little too hard and now a new engine is the first expense. Then some paint work bobing the bed. Probably a trailgear lift then some crawler gears. Money would be nice though.

Its a rough start I know but I think I will learn alot and will eventually have one great rig.
now thays a sweet rig!!!!

hey harpen, I have a pic like that too!

sucks, donit? other than the vehicle downtime i didnt mind too much because it gave me something to do for a bit and put in some more go-"fast" parts. I love being able to fix complicated things on my truck for a fraction of the cost of friends who have to take theirs to the shop. must be nice to be able to magically fix things by throwing money at it!
