Ok I've got my 85 22re 4x4 fresh 22re in it less than 10 k on it. Problem it sat for 3 years before firing up it was in a garage but it did sit. Now here's my issue I just drove about 120 miles for thanksgiving and my baby ripped through a quart of oil. I have oil coming down the back of the engine and dripping off the tranny. It looks like the little half moon plug on the valve cover is the culprit. The trip was all mountainous terrain lots of up and down and my logic is if I'm climbing the oil pools near the rear of the head / valve cover making it flow out the back . Can I lose that much oil from that plug? The valve cover is tight but if that half moon is hinky is it possible? Need some serious help the starter is coming out tomorrow to look at the fly wheel yo make sure it's not the rear main.
