Leaking fuel

ok to add to my previous problems. which the overheating has more less subsided since our temps have been around 10 degrees cooler lately. Well today on the way home my truck started to buck and sputter. it would only do it while pushing slightly on the pedal. It would not do it at full throttle. i get home and get out and i immediately smell fuel. The vent for the charcoal canister is pouring fuel out. with my severe lack of power im kinda thinkin stopped up injectors. would injectors make it backflow into the canister?

Somehow excess pressure is building up in your fuel system, forcing it out into the canister, instead of just vapors. I don't know fuel injection, but maybe if they were plugged up but the pump is trying to pump fuel, it's got to go somewhere? I don't know. Could just be a gas vent plugged up.

I wouldn't think injectors would do that, your fuel pressure regulator may be bad. Make sure your vaccum lines aren't plugged going to it.

Unscrew the gas cap if it does it again and listen for a vacuum sound, if you hear that then the vent for the gas tank is plugged, it could be something as simple as a bad gas cap, if thats not it then you will have to start looking for other causes.

the fuel pump regulator should open and let fuel back to the tank, so the fuel rail cannot get over pressured. other that that, maybe afm

I'll check that. I haven't really had it do it again. course it's been wrecked for that past 2 weeks. as far as the gas cap, whenever i go to fill up on a fairly low tank especially it sounds like a tornado when i unscrew the gas cap.

I am having the same issue and was wondering your outcome. I'm getting zero fuel at the filter, but leaking out charcoal canister. Truck won't start.

I am having these exact same issues with the over pressurized tank and severe suction when I open the cap. Also running rich on the three plugs on the drivers side bank. I notice a really weird vibration and feeling like running on 5 cylinders when I slightly press on the gas. I am pretty sure my fuel pressure regulator is bad. I will let you know if that is what it is for sure. I found another post similar to this one and that guy changed out his f.p.r. and it fixed his prob. so lets keep fingers crossed. oh yeah I am a total newb here and this is my very first post.

Sorry for the late reply but as far as the leaking fuel, i simply leave the cap a littl loose and it does not leak. I do however have the same issue at low rpm's with it missing and running rough.
