Thanks FnRunner.
Sorry for the noobie questions...what is a "mar-tack"?
I threw it into the search function but it didn't return anything.
I will take your advice on the factory service manual...better then a haynes?
Hey "Locked Stock 84" yes I plan on locking the rear end...any suggestions?
I am just checking the gears in there now...stock was 4.10 but I don't know if a PO has changed anything. I think I want to end up running 4.88 and a locker. I don't need this to be a highway vehicle since I live in a small town and have other vehicles when I need to get out on the highway.

I have a 87 4runner and the driver side rear tire is locked up, I believe it is the drum brakes but have not been successful at pulling the drum housing. Has anyone experienced this as well

you need to back the brake adjuster off throught the inspection cover on the backing plate. if you need more details, search for the factory service manual pdf file & it'll give all the details u need.
after you take the pressure off the shoes the drum should come off fairly easy unless the drum insides are rusty. then you may need the bfh to help em off.

does anyone know what other toyota models have the same stock rear seats as an 85 4runnner?
ive heard dual cab hilux's and surfs may fit.
ive recently purchased an 85 and the previous owner has removed the rear seats to make storage boxes but now im taking them out because i want more seating capacity.
