inner axle seals

well my seals are shot and i was wondering how hard they were to replace? any advice is helpful, thanks

fronts are kind of a pain BUT if they need to be done then they must be.
i would recommend marlin crawlers. they worked out great and you cant beat the price.

I'll be watching this tread cause the seal on my 83 pick-up - front left hub is also leaking gear oil.

Yup. These are modified seals and are much easier to install. Highly recommended.

Axle seals are easy to install...getting all the crap off to get to them just takes time.

use the marlin crawler seals. unless you want to rebuild everything else remove the hub and then remove the 8 bolts for the felt protectors on the back of the knuckle. remove steering arm. take the knuckle and spindle off as an assembly. pull out inner axle and birf. remove old seal and tap in marlin seal. it should take less than an hour per side.
