I have a "92" 4Runner with a 3.0 liter 5speed tranny with 220,000 miles on it,replaced head gaskets on it and it has no compression on #1 and#6 cylinders at low idle,but does not burn any oil and will still run down the road at 80+ mph and has an audible miss at idle. have replaced all plugs, wires,cap and coil.any ideas on what i need to do to correct it?

 

that's not logical, how exactly can you tell that there isn't any compression, only at idle?

did you check the valve lash?

 

did compression test after installing head gaskets and had no compression on #1 & 6cylinders

 

coil wire pulled,and had wife crank it over and had compression on all cylinders except 1 & 6

 

Did you do the head gaskets yourself? Have you checked the valves? Are you sure you had a good seal l for the compression test on 1&6?

 

Did you put coolant in the engine ??

Pressure test ?/

Why did you replace the head Gaskets ??

Did it get Hot ?/

Check for cracks in the head ??

Just what numbers did you get ??

No compression failed head gasket !!!

Bad valves got the valves between 1 and 6 mixed up

Cracked heads

Rings gone

Cam lobes wiped !!
