g52 Transmission Issues

I just replaced both of the shifter bushings because that is what I read hoping that it would fix my problem... It didn't

So whats going on:
when I'm taking off in first gear, I have to hold it in gear in order for it to not pop out, and same with second.
It is worse in first because of the load of coming from a stop, but it doesn't happen for 3rd or 4th... I have yet to get to 5th in it...

I think it has something to do with the shifter fork inside the trans, but not sure.
Another note is the clutch needs some help, the master cylinder isn't doing the best, but I don't think this is the problem because it goes into each gear just fine.

Just looking for opinions before I get into a big project.

Bearings in transmission. when the bearings wear, the shafts become misaligned and the gears will not hold. the bearing that is bad is probably the cluster shaft, at the middle of the transmission.

Would this also be called the main shaft bearing? After a quick google search I was unable to find a "cluster shaft bearing"

No, not 'main shaft'.

Try 'counter-shaft'.

I'm getting the feeling that you're gonna need professional help to fix this.

I appreciate the concern, but I have done a lot of engine-related things, but not as much transmission stuff. I bought an 85 pickup to learn on, so if I mess it up it doesn't matter.

It will just take some time for me to learn
