Front wiper motor problem

I've been chasing wires for a week or so, but I can't seem to get my windshield wipers to shut off. I can't find the short either. My washer fluid tank won't stop pumping either. Has anyone else experienced this? It's really annoying.

Sounds like the switch is stuck in the "wash/wipe" position. Which would be pulled towards the driver. You may be able to pull it towards you and flick/release it to possibly get the contacts to release for the time being. I have seen the factory grease dry up and get very sticky causing prolonged power applied. Or possibly dirty contacts shorted out to each other?

I tore my whole column apart this morning and cleaned everything in and out. I got them to stop for a little while, but once I checked to make sure they still work properly, it got stuck again. Hopefully i can find a working one at the junkyard. Thanks for the advice guys, I'm really glad it wasn't a short hidden inmy dash!
