First gen 4runner tailgate with tons of problems

I'm about to kick a hole thru this thing. Key in the back won't roll the window up or down, license plate lights don't work, switch will only roll window down. What the hell. This is the second tailgate I've had nothing but problems with. Please help me before I go insane.

Eek, have you checked all the wiring and made sure that all the connections are working?

OK OK so we've heard your complaints... but what have you done? Inspected the flex that goes between body and tailgate? inspected ALL your wires?

There is a relay behind the driver seat. Are you getting the same results from this tailgate as the other?

On my thread on post 185 and 186 I have some info https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51722787

There's a micro switch on the left side thats part of the window mechanics. If it doesn't make and break right the window won't move.

I,sorry, it's on the inside you have to open the door and then roll the back window UP to get to it. Be sure to support the glass when it's open.
