Drop down front hanger question.

I'm planning on doing a drop down front hanger on my 85. What all will need to be extended besides shocks?

Proably gonna cut off the tabs and do a 2 inch piece of box tubing then some 2 inch hanger/leafspring brackets off it. Not everything is set in stone yet.

Are you changing springs or anything else?

If not, you'll need to do something at the back (longer shackle, new shackle mount) to keep caster the same. Otherwise, you may have deathwobble issues.

Again, that is a possibility, not a certainty, check with more knowledgeable people. I recommend 4crawler...He also sells shims that would accomplish the same thing.

If still running stock steering, then use, use a longer bolt in the sway bar end link and easiest to do on the torque rod is to raise the bracket off the axle up to keep the rod ~level.
