crank but no start problem need serious help

Do you hear the C.O.R. clicking when JUST BARELY turning over the key? You know, that lil "click-click" that you NEED to hear from it?(turn it to almost turning over but don't engage the starter more than a click--if possible, NONE) Some times, the COR OR EFI OR MAIN relay(have you checked that? It's in OTHER/driver side kick panel), will show 'ok' resistance, but 'NO WORKY' when it comes to 'switching'(allowing power to the pump and fuel to the injectors). MORE than once, I've seen guys pull that relay and it's TOTALLY corroded inside. Supermandave I believe was one guy with this problem you're having.
How did you check for 'power at the pump', so to speak? You said you replaced it in your post...am I reading that right? If so, was it new?....Aisin?....Bench tested if not?

so my truck is dead....and i noticed that when i try to start, it no longer "clicks" from that relay on the passenger side kick. first thing i did was test resistance & all checked out on the relay. I can run the fuel pump on with the jump connector under the hood but still won't start.
So are you saying if the resistance tests good, it still may be faulty? I'd hate to spend that $$$ for that expensive relay & not have truck run. but i definatley noticed that the clicking sound is no longer there. thx

truck isn't throwing any codes. shouldn't it start if i jump the fuel pump? isn't that CO relay what is being bypassed? i will check the wires going into the relay.

So if the relay is not clicking with the ignition on/off then check for power at the CO relay socket. Have heard of folks finding the main EFI relay being dead and that relay feeds power to the CO relay.

On the '85, the jumper should just make the CO relay turn on with the ignition (and you'll hear it click if it is working):

OK, if the fuel pump runs, then all is well. You might just have a very quiet CO relay, mine clicks pretty loudly. Must be something else then, if the pump is running with the jumper. Might check that the injectors are getting pulses from the ECU, that is what sends fuel into the engine. Also, try pinching off the return line from the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) and see if you hear a change in pitch of the FPR, it makes a sort of hissing sound.
