so i need some advice. im replacing my brake booster and putting the pin in is a bitch .....are you supposed to have to push the rod in to align the holes? or is it supposed to line up easily?

 

Are you talking about the pin for the brake peddle ?, if so then just move the peddle as needed to get the pin to slide in.

 

how do you adjust the pedal?

 

Is the booster new or did it come out of another truck ?, if it came from another truck you shouldn`t need to adjust anything, it should just bolt in. I put a duel diaphragm brake booster in my 84 4Runner about a month ago, it came from another truck and it just bolted in, no adjustments needed. if it new you might need to adjust it a little, but i can only guess with out seeing it.

 

it is new..do i adjust the brake light switch?
