birf snap ring

birf snap ring
Ok..... just did all the new 3rd member and birfs, now I'm putting it back together and can't get the far outer snap ring on.... everything is torqued correctly but the slot for the ring is not exposed..... going Wheelin in the morning, please help! Thanks

Oh yea, i was thinking of it backwards.
I don't remember the name of the part but its in the center of the birf, it has a female spline gear that grabs the axle shaft. Is that put in in the right direction?

Also check to make sure you set the bearing preload properly. If the entire hub assembly doesnt go far enough on the spindle you wont be able to get to the groove to put that snap ring on.

Thanks guys..... got the driver side on but not the right side.... wheeled it anyway without a problem. I have to pull it all back apart to put propped length wheel studs on so I will reload the bearings correctly. Thanks again!
