Best Muffler?

Theyre very comparible to Flowmasters. I have the thrush welded mufflers in my 51 chevy, and flowmaster 40s on my 2500. The thrush mufflers seem to have a little deeper tone, and a bit quieter.

No sound clip and yes 22re.

2.5" header back, no cat, downey header, and a thrush turbo with a 3" resonator tip, haven't had a neighbor complain yet.
The popping is from a fubarred carb. Doesnt do it with the weber on there. At least not that I have noticed.
I got to get a video with the weber 32/36 on and a launch video as well. The launch video is to 6000 rpm by the way.

First, total necro-thread bro. Last post was almost 2 years ago.
Second, I have a cat and flow master 40 series with a dump right before my rear axle.
Sounds pretty good. I never have been one to give a ˟˟˟˟ about exhaust sounds. I got the rock ripper header to get a little better flow and to get rid of my sweet ass exhaust leak. The stock muffler also had a 8" hole rusted out of it. And my cat was missing all the ˟˟˟˟ inside. So I traded a beach cruiser to a buddy for his flow master and took it down to the muffler shop and had them put it all together with a new cat. Once you hit past 4k rpm it still sounds a bit ricey, but I'm doubtful any muffler can get rid of that. It's a 4 banger. That's what they sound like at that high rpm.
It sounds pretty deep at low rpm. Although I wish you could FEEL the exhaust rumble more. But that's more of a high performance compression ratio thing. Mines still street driven in Cali. Can't get too crazy with the mods.

I know this thread is way old but I had to post this vid. Its a vid of one of my old buddies 4runner (he's a member on here) and I think his truck sounded amazing. It was a very simple exhaust setup and I really wonder why I can't find any other clips of other trucks with the same setup.. Anyways it had a FM 40 right where the cat used to be (so yea it was catless) and had a dump right after the muffler. It really had that "tractor" sound but for some reason I loved it! Heres a clip, his second gen 3.0. (BTW its the first truck in just the first few secs of the vid) Is there any other clips of guys with this setup?
