86 4runner wont start after blown radiator?
Hey guys i have an 86 4runner that was running great, right before the radiator blew last year (whole top blew right off
) i got it to the house, put a new radiator in new thermostat and tried to start...nothing. it turns over and there was a taping sound coming from the Vein air flow meter but wouldnt start...wouldnt even sputter. after trying over and over and trying to modify things the airflow meter quit tapping, i tested it and it was toast. SO i bought a new one , tested it and put it in...again nothing. Ive tested that i have spark, i have fuel to the rails and i have air any idea why this thing wont start???
Thanks for you time

they are in your hoses and anywhere really. Take the cap off your pickup and keep turning it over. The best way to burp it is to get it running though so try and try. Took me forever with mine, but it might. Then what you want to do is let all the bubbles and water flow out the radiator when your burping it. Eventually the thermostat will open up and then after a dew minutes you can see if that did anything. Sometimes it takes a long time though. Keep putting water in the radiator as it pushes water out if it does. I am not an expert this is just what I did with mine.
