I am having trouble getting the e brake cable of. any advice?

 

there is what they call a "pawl" @ the end of the emergency cable / hard case (inside the cab) . it is simply pressed in . you need to unbolt the leaver case (park brake pull handle and casing) so you can work on it ..12MM bolts , 2 of them I think ? (punch and hammer work good for removing the pawl).

punch out the "pawl " it's the metal piece that actuates the brake light switch .

once the "pawl" is out .. you can remove the cable .
