85 sr5 22re keeps studder/ stalls out

Hi everyone love the forum have learned a lot but now I have issue stuck on.
1985 2wd 22re 180k original 3rd owner all receipts since new. Only had 83k on it 6 years ago when I became owner. I’ve performed maintenance like a beast replaced few things needed along the way n always ran like champ.

Few weeks ago I put can of B12 chem tool in full tank , first time doing this . ( not sure if this is related but not leaving out any details) ran tank through until less 1/4 left . Last Friday 4 degrees out it starts like a rocket as usual. Let it warm up 5 minutes r so n left for work. About 8-10 miles later it starts to act like it’s running out of fuel . I’m thinking ok fuel filter /pump etc it’s due . My mechanic (real one not me lol) who’s damn good said it the intake n injection etc was completely clogged w carbon . Chunks . No flow. I figured the B12 broke bunch ˟˟˟˟ up n went through system. He cleaned it got it running and I drove it home yesterday w no issues . This morning starts fine I let it run minutes then almost a mile down road same thing . Starts studder n die like it’s running out of fuel. Barely restarts n dies. No go . My mechanic said upon picking it up to be careful that it’s still gummy in there if it happens again bring it back . It’s back n I’m here . In the meantime I’m just throwing it out there t seek any advice from seasoned yota vets.

Did you ever figure this out? I have similar issues with my '87 pickup.

Fuel pump n distributor it runs like beast better than ever actually we just assumed it wasn’t fuel pump even though that was first guess all around because of the intake so a combo of the fuel treatment breaking up the junk in tank and clogging then the actual fuel pump started to go out . Perfect storm of fuel issues lol.
But in the end the fuel pump was cause .

Ok. Good to know. Thats funny because I already had a bottle of concentrated fuel treatment sitting on the passenger seat ready to go. I think I'll go for it and if I get similar results to you then I guess I'll start with the fuel pump. Thanks.
