fuel or vacuum issue?

hey. so here's the story. i have a plow on my 1992 runner with a 22re. i went to plow this morning at 6 everything went great. worked great. then went for a drive... seemed to be fine. then i went out to do some more plowing later. had to drive a little ways, truck did fine on the way out. but i stopped to talk with the person who's driveway i was plowing and as it was sitting and idling all of the sudden it dropped below 1000rpm... like 300 or so. it usually sits around 1500. and if i didnt' keep my foot on the gas it would stall. it went on for about 10 minutes and then it was fine. so i started heading home and then while i was going on a side road it started kinda sputtering or missfiring. stopped and shut off the truck and it worked better. got some sea foam and put it in and drove around a bit. was working great driving really smooth and working great. went to fix and put the plow back on... it broke during this whole process(another story) but while putting it back on someone jumped into my truck and turned the heat to full... this drug the rpms below 1000 again! so vacuum related there... a friend who was with me though altenator as well. but while driving it seems fuel related as if its not getting enough fuel. but i don't know.
any help would be really appreciated... if you feel like reading all of this.. haha.
thanks

bad fuel? clogged fuel filter? try a little of that Seafoam in the gas tank.

it did sit for a couple of years. i put a fresh tank in about 2 weeks ago now, and a new filter last week. and just put sea foam in today.
i guess i was a little high on the rpms. i think it might be closer to 1000rpm at an idle.
just thinking of my other runner.
but ya, as well i went out to do some more plowing and i noticed that at first it ran fine. but as i was plowing and it warmed up it started having issues again. also when i'm on the highway it will drive great, no issues. it's just when i'm idling or plowing and moving short distances at a time accross the parking lot.
thanks

i'm just guessing now... but it has been getting mighty cold up there in northern BC... below 0 Celsius at night... maybe some water in the gas? I'm wondering if the place where you bought your gas has switched over to the winter blend yet (I'm not even sure they do that in Canada). Also check the rubber o-ring around your gas cap. It may have deteriorated enough to let water into the gas tank when you wash it. It probably wouldn't be a lot of water, but it just may be enough to cause your intermittant problem... I am trying to think about the simple things, before you go tearing into your engine or replacing your fuel pump.

ya it's been getting really cold, -20 for a bit. could that have that kind of effect on it? it's only when it warms up. and the heater has an effect on it too... that makes me think something to do with the vacuum system...
