85 Cranking Issue

Have a 85 Toyo with a 22RE. It will run fine for day or two then becomes hard to crank. When you try to crank it all it will do is click for ten to fifteen min, then crank with out a problem.
Prev. Owner changed starter, battery, all cables and switch

Anyone able to help?

Sounds like solenoid contacts are worn. Replace them and you're golden.

I donno if it was the same problem I had with my 4runner when it wouldn't start and made that clicking sound i think it was a relay clicking. It ended up being the leads on the negative battery connection that were corroded, cleaned them and she start right up. Also it wouldn't hurt to check your starter relay and check your starting related connections or conectors. Hope that helped.

I just had to bang on my starter solenoid last night to get mine to turn over. I thought it was a dead battery, but after charging it all night it just clicked. So I tried the bang on the solenoid trick and she fired right up.
