33 X 12.50 X 15's Clearance ?

I searched an could not find what I need to know.

I'm pretty sure that my 85 has stock springs. It looks like I can clear the
33's but I don't want to find out the hard way.

I have black steelies with 30 X 9.50 X 15 - gonna use the wheels for the
33's. This is weekend around town runner and I wheel it several times a year - not a daily driver.

Where will the 33's rub ?

Post some picks but I think you'll find they will rud on the back out side of the fender well by the driver door and on the lower part of the bumper in the front.

You might want to check the width of your wheels before anything.

Also look at the search button next time I think this has been covered a lot

I did search ! Everything that I read pertained to IFS rigs.
I am sure that before I can run bigger tires that I am going to have to lift
and move the front axle forward by 2". Of course that means relocating the steering box - the list goes on and on !

I am no dummy and I've been here a lot. I am one to research and ask questions before spending money that I don't need to spend.

I've also read everything on Pirate. There is just so many opinions that I'm weeding through the BS before doing anything.

I'll get there and it will be right - or I won't do it.

Thanks for your reply.

Thanks Rodger !

So I will have to move the front axle forward and relocate the steering box
using an IFS box to fit bigger meat ?

In the picture posted it looks like you have raised the truck but not moved the axle forward - correct ?

Thanks again Rodger !

It looks like with the axle 2" forward that even a 35 might fit.
Did you do the rear springs forward to move the axle ? I keep looking at these lift kits from trail gear and All Pro and none of them mention the ability to move the axle forward using their kit.

I'm still reading and asking questions - as stated I'd like to do this one time and do it correctly the first time. I scored an IFS steering box today.

I learned my lesson with the 2nd generation - I spent quite a bit of money on mod's that did nothing for me.

Per Steve Shaeffer - "you can hang nuggets all over them but it's the unseen invisible mods that really make a difference."
