3.75in. backspacing rubbing the frame on my 85'

I have 3.75in. backspaced rims on my truck and my 33x12.50x15 tires are rubbing the frame in the back when I flex. I've been looking into getting less backspacing like 2.5 but can't find anything. Should I go with wheel spacers front and back? I don't really want to do that but it seems that no one makes rims smaller than 3.75 or do they just not advertise those sizes on most sites but the company does sell them? And is 2.5 too little backspacing, is it ok to rock crawl with rims like that? I'm confused at what I should do but I know I don't want my tires rubbing the frame and I'm pretty sure it's killing my flex.

I'm guessing you have 15x8" wheels?

Pro Comp has some with 2.75" BS... http://www.procomptires.com/series87.htm

Swap in a 86+ rear axle from any IFS truck/4Runner. It's 3 inches wider and will stop that frame rub. Yes, it's killing your flex.

I thought about that but mine has gears and has been rebuilt.

The rims that are 2.75bs are not the right lug pattern.

Can I get away with wheel spacers all the way around? That kind of seems a
little scary to me but might be ok with some marlin crawlers.

Easy to swap the 3rd member to the wider axle. Lots of places have 6 lug wheels with 3.5" or less backspacing. I rubbed with stock (3-3/8" backspacing) wheels and 33x9.50s until I added a 1/4" wheel spacer. I now run wider bolt-on spacers and no problems.

Wheel spacers will cause you no problems if installed properly.

Cool, thanks for the info. Guess I'll be buying 4 wheels spacers then. I'll go with 1.25in. so I can still easily access my hubs and that should be plenty more space.

Wheel spacers would be the cheapest option! I always forget about running them in the rear.
