22re Won't start until Ether

22re Won't start until Ether
My 85 4runner doesn't want to start without ether, once started for the first time, it will start ok. I parked it on a incline pointing downhill yesterday, when I got in it this morning to move it, it started right up. I've replaced fuel pump, filter, and gas tank, and injectors. Does this sound like a fuel pump issue?

what you are saying is that it starts fine when the engine is warmed up, but won't start easily when the engine is cold?
there is a cold start injector valve on the intake plenum, that injects fuel when the engine is cold... maybe it's unplugged, or defective?
the downhill thing sounds different, like it's a fuel pickup issue... was the tank low on gas?
