22R to 22RE

Can you take a 22R that's carburated and hook it up to a fuel injector instead? I know the size is the same but aren't the valves a different size or something?

you can do the swap on 22R's 1985 and newer with no new parts other than the intake, ecu, etc. on 1984 and older 22R's, I think the heads are different. can anybody confirm?

i looked into doing this because im not sure the gains are worth it. having to wire up the ecu, hook up a harness and add the re intake too it just simply to have fuel injection wasnt worth it. kinda want to try propane eventually.
