Make sure you leave the vacuum advance hoses connected to the distributor hooked up.

You should remove all your EGR stuff. As far as the hole left, I capped it with a steel plate used as an electrical cover plate. I outlined the shape from the removed EGR onto the steel plate with a fine tip permanent marker then trimmed it with the angle grinder. I also marked onto the steel plate the location where the original EGR bolts are located and used a drill to make the bolt holes. I then bolted the new piece onto the side of the head where the original EGR was bolted in place. Problem solved and it looks great!

What did yall use to block the exhaust hole where the factory breather ran down? This is what took me some time, I ended up using a freeze out plug. I tapped the ring down so the freeze out plug had I bit more to sit on. Then I added.some jb weld and put it on. Any way the weber is on and runs great, I couldn't be happier. I will post pics in the morning

you mean the hole on the front top of the valve cover? if so on the bottom of the weber air cleaner there should have been a hole and a plastic elbow that that hose is supposed to go on.

Hey XXX do you really need to tune the Weber? I ran mine just like that and it runs just fine. I wonder if it'll make a difference if I tune it.

it might. I know I wouldn't want to be running either rich or lean especially lean if I could help it, and using the correct method it will also tell you if you have the correct jets in the carb for your setup.

No its the hole in the actual exhuast on the drivers side of the block. Right on the header.

I put it on but I ha vent tuned it yet. I'm gonna check my timing then tune the carb. Plus I'm still waiting on my holley regulter and gauge to come in. All in all the carb runs great for just slappin it on.

Does yalls whistle just a bit at idle I cantg tell if that double spacer has a small leak or not. But it runs great not like it woujld if it was leakin in my opinion

mine whistles a little, that's just the idle mixture screw pulling air in I think.

I don't know about the exhaust manifold, because I have a downey header on mine, came with the truck. Sounds like it was for the hot air riser for the old air cleaner?

seems ok I guess, can't really compare it to stock. When I had the exhaust done the guy said they were a little rotted out and thin down by the collector so he welded up some patches for me so they didn't leak. I have since painted them a little it's still pretty wore out.

Mine doesn't whistle at all, you might have a small leak somewhere. As far as the hole on the exhaust manifold, if your truck has the original manifold then it's on the heat shield which connected to the original air intake. It's about an inch and a half in diameter. I just left mine as is since you don't use the original air intake with the Weber. If the hole you're referring to is on the actual header and not the heat shield then it may have been changed out to a header from an EFI system and it could be for the oxygen sensor from the donor truck.
