W50 Transmission Extension Housing Dust Shield Retainer Removal

Working on trucks is fun right? OK so I am in the middle of replacing the extension housing seal on my transmission and am having a hard time finding the right tool to remove the retainer which is item 20 on this diagram.

The book calls for the use of a sst 09308-10010 seal puller which I do not have and really do not want to drop $140 on. Has anyone found a way to remove this part with out this tool? I tried a pilot bearing puller already but the teeth are to big to fit. Or does anyone in Portland Oregon have the right tool? I can buy you some beer or give you some money for your troubles? Thanks for the help!

It's just a steel cup made to retain a felt.

Lever it out with a bar or big screwdriver.

If you bend it some, you can easily reshape it with a little hammering if you don't have a new one.

Thanks! I was able to get it off with another Toyota tool, the hubcap puller on my girlfriends Corolla haha!
