Question Tool Box Ideas

Looking for a tool box (aluminum or steel) for my '81. I would like to find the chest type box instead of the over-the-rail type because I'll be putting a rollbar (lightbar) in the bed. I would also like the top of the box to be flush with the top of the bed rail, which according to my measurements has a height of about 15". Anybody got any ideas or pictures of what they have? Thanks,

I would check tractor supply company. They sell quite a few of the chest style toolboxes you are looking for. I would like to get one for myself after I find a replacement bed for my truck.

Here is a photo of mine. It is a 14" high x 38" long Delta that is removable.

Thanks for the info, I checked out the TSC website and they do have a box that's 14-1/2" high which should work...don't know why I didn't think to look there to start with.

Sweet looking box! Can you give me any info on where you got it or a part number for it? Thanks!

You can buy them at J C Whitney, Sears or anywhere that they sell DELTA brand Tool boxes. I do not know the model number but if you Google Delta Tool Boxes you should be able to find one.

access your inner carpenter, make one the exact size you want out of wood and coat it well with spraybomb boxliner to make it waterproof. That way you arn't size limited by what is commercially available, you save a few bucks, and its the exact size you want! Plus you can easilly paint it whatever colour you want!

TSC had one a while back I thought about putting on my Waverunner trailer to hold life jackets, gas, and supplies. It was a trapezoid.
