Think this would be a good deal? 83 pickup
I like the look of the 82-83 so I am really leaning towards buying this. It is an 83 SR5 with air and all the good stuff that you would expect. Bad news is the frame is rusted in the typical spot, behind the cab. Good news is I want to tube the rear anyway so It is not to big of a deal. Truck runs good and only has like 120,000 miles on it. If I end up buying it I plan on building it nice . Mainly 75% off-road and maybe a few trips to the store here and there. So, Should I buy it? Does $800 sound fair for it? The interior is in great shape, just needs to be swept out and cleaned. Very little rust on the body itself and like I said the only place the frame is rusted is behind the cab.
These are'nt the best pics but they are all I have right now.

Any input is welcome, Thanks Bryan

how bad is the fram rust in one of the pics it almost seems bent in the middle. If the frame is rusted it drops the price huge. I wouldnt pay 800 for it. Around here a decent 83 and under would cost 1000 thats in good shape to with small lift and tires. A stock truck should be around 500. But i guess it changes where ryour at. Id say offer 500 and if they say no then just say "well wit hthta frame rust how long do you ecpect it to go down the road?" Unless they already know you just want to cut it off. Also is it a 20r or 22r?

83's with any body left are very rare around here. The frame is rusted only into the middle right behind the cab and yes it is bending in. in fact the top of the bed is almost touching the cab. I am definetly going to tube the rear of the truck.
