thin/odd colour oil after rebuild

Hey, i just finished doing my head gasket and timing on my 1981 22r. just after firing it up i notice the oil was very thin and almost a Goldie brownish/black colour) it does not smell like coolant or gas, but the thinning could be explained by flooded cylinders (gas seeping past piston rings), i kinda ruled out coolant because the oil that came out was so thin, just wondering whats the deal with this oil or if anyone has run into these issues before

Sounds to me like u have fuel in the oil. The color and thinning match it perfectly. If it was coolant it would be whiteish and the coolant would float on top and not mix. I would run the engine for a bit with that oil then drain it and put new oil in. Make sure to drain the oil filter as well.
