security options??

Where I live, early Toyota 4x4s are stolen like $100 bills in a soup kitchen. When my truck is up and running, I plan on using a "club", dowels in the window channels of the rear slider and an ignition cut-off switch....and if necessary, sitting on my roof with my 300mag. What are other people using for security?

lots of people use alarms these days, and no, you don't need power locks or windows to have one.

fuel cut-off switches are popular, or you could pull your efi fuse.

I'm not sure pulling the EFI fuse on a 20R will do you a whole lot of good

There are a lot of options for fuel cutoff or switches disconnecting power from the ignition. Your imagination is the only limit to what you can do. There a thread (a little buried now) in the General Vehicle section about it.

You could disconnect the ignition with a hidden switch, and that same switch could connect the ignition to the horn so if someone tried to start it, the horn would go off. You could do a fuel cutoff (if you have an electric fuel pump). You could do a simple switch that cuts off the wires in the steering column from going to the coil when it's flipped. You could pull the wire from the coil before you walk away and throw it in your pocket (a lot of theives are actually pretty smart, and will look for things like that. they'll even look for cut-off switches).

Wasn't my idea, I got it from the thread I was talking about. But I agree!
