Sbc swapping a first gen
I am currently in the process of swapping a sbc into a 1983 toyota p/u 4x4. I have a couple questions, and I'm sure I'll think off more. I am going to be running a small block 350 and turbo 350 with toyota transfer case.
1. Since I'm running the stock transfer case I should be able to use the stock speedometer, right? Kind of a follow up to that question, I am running 37's, is there anyway to adjust the speedo, like different speedo gears or am i just gonna have to have it be way off?
2. For anyone who has done this, were you able to fit the radiator in the normal radiator position or did you have to rear mount it?
3. I know the t-cases are pretty bullet proof, but how strong are the axles because I'm running 37's and gonna be pushing about 300 horsepower. Am I gonna need to put chromoly axles in it or are the axles pretty robust stock?
